Send Unroutable Items to Available Stations

Unroutable items can be sent to one of the available expos. Items mapped with a kitchen department must be routed to their respective expo configured. Routing an item fails when its expo is offline or the item does not have a route configured. When an order is placed with multiple items that belong to different expos where one of the expos is offline/not registered, then items belonging to that expo can be routed to any one of the expos that is online. 

When few items in an order are unroutable:

• Unrouteable items will be sent to the expo handling most items in the order and not the item quantity.

• In case of a tie in the number of items routed to multiple expos, unrouteable items will be sent to the first expo. Also, only items that have a department mapped to them are considered while calculating the number of items handled by a expo.

• Unrouteable items are shown in a different color compared to other items.

If an entire order cannot be routed to any expo due to expo offline or route is not configured for all items in the order, the entire order will be rejected, and failed order email notification will be sent.
