Print Consolidated Packages in Kitchen Printer Chit
IG KDS has been enhanced to support printing consolidated packages on kitchen printer chits.
Previously, packages were printed only for the following sorting options:
-
As ordered
-
Seat
-
Course
With this enhancement, similar items within a package and identical packages will be consolidated and printed on the expo chit for all sorting options.
Additionally, items in the package are printed for the following sorting options:
-
Single item course then consolidate
-
Single item consolidate
-
Single item per chit
-
Course then consolidate
-
Consolidate
-
Kitchen sequence with consolidation
-
Kitchen sequence
-
Product then consolidate
-
Product class
When Single Item per Chit option is selected in the Sort drop-down list under the Copies submenu of the Printers menu (POS Configuration ➜ Kitchen ➜ Printers), only two similar packages will be consolidated on the chit.
Terminal Option 551 (Print Selection Groups on the Receipt) must be enabled to consolidate single item per chit.
For example,
Consider that the guest has ordered the following items:
-
Chicken Burger Combo
-
Burger Style - Nashville
-
Burger Style - Nashville
-
Soda - Cola
-
-

-

Launch Expo Automatically using Prefilled Credentials
IG KDS has been enhanced to automatically launch the expo using pre-configured login credentials. Previously, after a system restart, users had to manually enter their login credentials to launch the expo. With this enhancement, the system performs auto login and launches the expo for the following scenarios:
-
Windows update restart
-
Server crash and reboot
-
Power outage recovery
-
Scheduled maintenance reboot
Important Points
-
The user must perform cook in the following scenarios:
-
Login credentials are changed
-
The POS profile mapped to the station is changed.
-
-
The POS profile user must be valid Windows-registered users.
-
Multiple OSD stations running on the same system must use the same POS terminal ID in the Stations menu (POS Configuration ➜ Kitchen ➜ Stations).
-
The same Windows credentials must be used for both auto-login and station launch. If different credentials are used, a message, already running, will be displayed after a restart.
Changes Made in IGCM
To support this, a new drop-down list, POS Profile, has been added under the Basic Details submenu in the Station menu (POS Configuration ➜ Kitchen ➜ Station).
