Sizeable Items and Quantity Based Modifiers

IG Fly has been enhanced to dynamically adjust the price of an item based on size or quantity of the item with the help of quantity-based modifiers.

Items that are sold by size, such as Pizza, Coffee, and Soda are referred to as sizeable items. Sizeable items can be sold with quantity-based modifiers, which allow users to modify the size and price accordingly.

For example, users can set different prices for various sizes of the same item, so the price changes automatically when customers choose a different size.

Consider three sizes of Coffee:

• Small: $3

• Medium: $4

• Large: $5

When a customer picks a size, the price adjusts automatically. If they choose Medium, the price will be $4, and if they choose Large, it will be $5.

Only one quantity category modifier should be applied to an item at a time.

For multi-quantity items, if multiple quantity category modifiers are applied, the total price should be calculated based on the appropriate price multipliers for each quantity category.

Configurations in IGCM

Configure Quantity Category

Navigate to POS Configuration ➜ Business ➜ Quantity Category.

Select Add.

Refer to the table and fill in the fields as necessary:

Field	Description
ID	Enter a unique ID.
Quantity Category Name	Enter a name for the quantity category.
Price Multiple	Enter an appropriate value based on which the price of the item will be modified.
PMix Quantity	Enter an appropriate value.

Select Save.

Configure Modifier

Navigate to POS Configuration ➜ Items ➜ Modifier.

Select Add.

Navigate to the Classification submenu.

Select the appropriate quantity category to the modifier from the Quantity Category drop-down list. A quantity category can be mapped to only one modifier. The Base Price and Item (Product Mix) fields are disabled once a quantity category is assigned.

Select Save.

Configure Item

Navigate to POS Configuration ➜ Items ➜ Item.

Select Add.

Navigate to the Price Information submenu.

Enable the Sizeable Item option in the Store Price Levels section.

Enable the Prompt For Sizes checkbox to display the list of quantity modifiers. If disabled, the default quantity modifier will be selected automatically.

The Quantity Category section is enabled and can be configured only when the Sizeable Item option is enabled. 

Select the appropriate quantity category from the Quantity Category drop-down list. A quantity category is displayed here only if it is mapped to at least one modifier.

Enable the Is Quantity Override checkbox to enter a different quantity multiple value and override the configuration in the Quantity Category menu, if preferred.

Enable the Is Price Override option to enter a different price multiple value and override the configuration in the Quantity Category menu, if preferred.

Enable the Default option if there are multiple quantity categories assigned to the item, to select one as default.

Select Save.
