Global Application Service (GAS) Offline Scenarios

In the case where the Global Application Service (GAS) is unavailable, the following must be noted:

When GAS is unavailable, items that are 86ed will display the local 86 icon at the POS terminal. Even after GAS connectivity is restored and the user logs off and logs back in, these items will continue to show the local 86 status. Therefore, items 86ed during GAS downtime must be manually re-86ed after GAS connectivity is restored.

Un86

Items un86ed while GAS is unavailable will retain their local un86 status after connectivity is restored.
However, if the user logs off and logs back in, items will revert to their previous global status (either 86 or un86) from before the GAS unavailability.
