Authorize Member Charge Tenders - Loyalty & Promotions

InfoGenesis has been enhanced to support authorizing and accepting member charge tenders at the POS Terminal. To support this, the Support Auth checkbox is enabled automatically when the Tender Verification Code 242 (Member Charge) is selected to create a member charge tender record in the Universal Desktop.

At the POS Terminal, member charge tender is displayed along with the other tender options. Authorizations made with member charge tender also support any check level member discounts applied on the check. Member discounts can also be applied during tenders.

Only one member can be tagged to a check. This enhancement is not supported for offline transactions.

Members discounts must be configured in the Agilysys Loyalty Suite admin portal under Membership ➜ Member. Users must refer to the following while configuring member discounts:

  • Only check level discounts are supported

  • Both Open Amount and Open Percent type discounts can be configured

  • Only one discount per member can be applied

  • Configured discounts must be mapped to a tier level

  • Exclusive discounts are not supported

The eligible discount is applied automatically while authorizing the member charge tender.

Support Auth checkbox (Financials ➜ Tender ➜ Main) is supported only with the 12.x server.

Multiple Authorizations

The POS terminal also supports authorizing checks at the terminal with multiple authorizations. To support this, a new terminal option, Terminal Option 1384 (Restrict membership charging to one account), has been introduced.

  • When Terminal Option 1384 (Restrict membership charging to one account) is enabled, only one member charge can be tagged to the check.

  • When Terminal Option 1384 (Restrict membership charging to one account) is disabled, multiple member charges can be tagged on a check.

After authorizing a check with a member charge, users can partially authorize the check with other tenders as well.

Only one member charge can be associated with a check even if Terminal Option 1221 (Prompt for Player account details for casino payments) is enabled.
