Terminal Options by Number

  • Terminal Option 7 (Print receipt when check is tendered) - Check this option to always print a check when tendered. When this option is not active, a receipt does not print when the check is tendered (this setting is most used in fast food environments where receipts are rarely requested). With the option turned off, it is still possible to print a copy of a receipt by touching the PRINT LAST RECEIPT button after the transaction is complete and before the next transaction begins. You can control the number of times the PRINT LAST RECEIPT button is used by activating Terminal Option 146 (Allow only one duplicate receipt). Additional receipts can be printed via terminal options 249, and 250.

  • Terminal Option 8 (Print grand totals when check is tendered)- Check this option to print grand totals when the check is tendered. Grand totals are the sum of all tenders used to tender a check and prints at the bottom of the customer receipt.

  • Terminal Option 11 (Allow multiple discounts per transaction)- Check this option to apply multiple discounts to a single check. An item can have only one discount, either line item or part of a check level discount. If a check-level discount is already applied to all items on a check, a second check-level discount cannot be applied until additional items have been added to the check.

If this option is not active, only a single discount can be applied to the entire check. For example, if a line-item discount has been applied to one item on the check, another line item or check level discount cannot be applied to any item on the check.

  • Terminal Option 13 (All prices are tax-inclusive)- Check this option to include tax in an item’s price. For example, an item priced at $2.50 normally rings up at 2.50 + 0.17 tax (based on the configured tax rate), making the total $2.67. When this option is active, the item price includes the tax and rings up at $2.50, where the adjusted item price is $2.34, and the tax is $.16.

When active, this option overrides both item configuration (for tax-inclusive) and Terminal Group- Check Types (for tax). The customer receipt prints the price as tax included and does not show the tax on the receipt. The item and tax detail recalculate and display only on the system reports and Recreate Audit Check. If the tax on a tax-included item is removed, the price of the item remains the same. The modification appears on back-office reports. If this option is active, make sure terminal option 70 is not active. To make a terminal’s checks always add tax (non-tax inclusive), activate terminal option 70. Terminal Option 13 is ignored in inclusive gratuity mode.

  • Terminal Option 20 (Print CPFAdd data when check is saved)- Check this option to print check data in the CPFAdd.00x file when the check is saved via the Save Print function. The CPFAdd file contains user-defined text commonly used to print room number, tip total and signature lines at the bottom of a check. The data prints after check printing format footers and before terminal footers. CPF files are stored in the POS_LOAD directory and must be included in load lists to be loaded to the terminal.

  • Terminal Option 21 (Print CPFAdd data when check is tendered)- Check this option to print data in the CPFAdd.00x file when a check is tendered. The CPFAdd file contains user-defined text commonly used to print room numbers and signature lines at the bottom of a check. This data prints after check printing format footers and before terminal footers. CPF files are stored in the POS_LOAD directory and must be included in load lists to be loaded to the terminal.

  • Terminal Option 23 (Print priced modifiers only)- When this option is active, the following modifiers print on the customer check- priced modifiers and those modifiers directed to print on the customer check (via the checkbox in the Modifier- Basic Details window). If this option is not active, all modifiers and special instructions print on the check. Terminal Option 395 - Modifier printing on check overrides this option for modifiers but does not affect special instructions. On Windows terminals, special instructions are not printed if Terminal Option 1022 - Consolidate like menu items and packages on guest receipt or Terminal Option 1023 - Consolidate like items and packages by check type on guest receipt is active. Related terminal options- 395 and 400

  • Terminal Option 24 (Print all items)- Check this option to print all items regardless of item configuration. When setting up items in item configuration, items can be set not to “Print on check.” For example, a bar may configure a zero-priced drink to allow sales to be rung from a bar gun without printing on a check. When this option is active, all items print-even those configured not to print in item configuration.

  • Terminal Option 25 (Restrict Credit Card Voice Authorization)- Voice authorization occurs most frequently when the credit card agency responds with “referral” or “declined”; the terminal is offline; the agency is not responding; or the line is busy or down. When this option is checked, the system requires any user with a security level less than 5 to enter a manager override. If the user has a security level of 5 or greater, no manager override is required. Related terminal options- 78, 335

  • Terminal Option 27 (Credit card uses retail mode (CC via Service Manager, only))- Check this option to use single pass (host-capture) retail mode for credit card payments. In this mode credit card payments are settled at the time they are applied to the check. This option only works for tenders with verify code 146 - Credit Card via Service Manager.

  • Terminal Option 28 (Disable credit card refunds)- Check this option to not allow credit card refunds (a negative check cannot be settled to a credit card). Some credit card agencies do not allow credits (negative amounts) to be posted to credit cards. This option prohibits closed checks refunds or refunds of reopened closed checks that have been tendered to a credit card.

  • Terminal Option 29 (Do not send credit card requests in offline mode (CC via Service Manager, only))- Select this option to prevent the terminal from sending credit card requests when the terminal is offline. When this option is not set, the terminal waits for a timeout when Service Manager is not able to respond to credit card requests. With this option set, when the terminal is offline, the terminal assumes Service Manager is offline and does not send a request to Service Manager. It then performs the same offline logic it would have if the request was sent and timed out. This option applies only to tenders with Verify Code 146 - Credit Card via Service Manager.

    • This option is designed only for terminals that process payments in a single pass and should not be enabled for terminals where credit cards are first authorized and then accepted with a tip amount.

    • If the terminal is offline, it does not attempt to connect to Service Manager for credit card processing.

    • Enable this option if customer assumes that when the POS terminal is offline to the back office, it is also offline to Service Manager and/or the credit card gateway.

  • Terminal Option 30 (Enable additional credit card printing)- Enable extra receipt and draft printing for credit cards primarily for error conditions. Required in some locations. Limited to Agilysys Platform Pay Connect for Shift4.

  • Terminal Option 36 (Print voids on customer receipt)- Check this option to print voids on a customer receipt. When this option is active and an item is voided on a saved check, the item prints on the check along with the word "void" as the price. When this option is not active, the voided item does not print on the receipt.

  • Terminal Option 37 (Disable printing of clock-in slip)- Check this option to not print the Clock-in Slip when an employee clock-in at this terminal. The Clock-in Slip prints the employee name, terminal number, job code, clock-in time, and signature line.

  • Terminal Option 38 (Disable printing of clock-out slip)- Check this option to not print the Clock-out Slip when an employee clocks out at this terminal. The Clock-out Slip prints the employee name, terminal number, job code, clock-in/out time, and signature line.

  • Terminal Option 39 (Allow credit card preauthorization over the amount of check)- Check this option to authorize a sales amount greater than a check’s total when obtaining a credit card preauthorization. (Perform over-authorization on the Credit Card Recall Operation screen.) If a check is authorized for over the amount of the check via the Recall Operation: Recall Check screen (e.g., first round is only $20, but $100 is entered), use the Credit Card button (located on the Order screen), to reauthorize the amount when a check total exceeds the original authorization amount.

  • Terminal Option 40 (Print extra credit card draft for customer)- Check this option to print a second copy of the credit card sales draft. This option is used at establishments using single ply paper or thermal receipts, instead of carbon paper receipts.

  • Terminal Option 41 (No voids to the kitchen printers)- Check this option to override the Send to Kitchen Printer field in the Void Reasons window and prevent voids being sent to the kitchen printers. When this option is active and the Galley Meal Count feature is enabled, voided item counts are not updated on the galley display units or the Galley Meal Count terminal report. When a check is voided, the galley meal voided item counts are updated whether this option is active or not.

  • Terminal Option 42 (Print extra GPA draft for the customer)- Check this option to print an extra copy of the GPA sales draft.

  • Terminal Option 43 Prevent use of barcode scanner for employee ID input: Check this option to prevent the use of a barcode scanner when the terminal application prompts for an employee ID, such as when signing on or providing a manager override.

  • Terminal Option 44 (Prohibits employee sign-on using numeric keypad)- Check this option to force employees to swipe a magnetic card (or scan a bar code) to enter an employee ID number at the terminal. When this option is active, the numeric keypad becomes inactive during any function requiring an employee number input. For Visa/PABP compliance, Terminal Option 44 - Prohibit employee sign-on using numeric keypad is set as follows:

    • Default Terminal Option Groups, new install/new enterprise = ON

    • New Terminal Option Groups = ON (previously OFF)

    • Existing Terminal Option Groups = no change

Activate Terminal Option 34, Enable 4595 manager key with this option if using integrated IBM 4695 terminals.

  • Terminal Option 45 (Prompt to print a Campus Card sales draft for the customer)- Check this option to prompt the POS user whether to print a sales draft when a Campus Card payment is applied to the check. When active, this option overrides Terminal Option 46 - Automatically print a Campus Card sales draft for the customer. (CardSmith) Related terminal option: 46

  • Terminal Option 46 (Automatically print a Campus Card sales draft for the customer)- Check this option to automatically print a sales draft when a Campus Card payment is applied to the check. This option is overridden by Terminal Option 45 - Prompt to print a Campus Card sales draft for the customer. (CardSmith) Related terminal option: 45

  • Terminal Option 48 (Default to primary profit center after each transaction)- Check this option to default to the terminal’s primary profit center after each transaction. Use if the terminal primarily services a single profit center, and other profit centers are only occasionally accessed via the terminal.

  • Terminal Option 50 (Print the starting server name on receipt, not team name)- For use with team serving only. Check this option to print the name of the server who started the check. When this option is not active, the team name prints on the receipt. To use this option, enable team serving by activating terminal option 53.

  • Terminal Option 52 (Allow bypass of team serving prompt)- Check this option to start a non-team serving check from a “team serving” terminal. When active, touch the Cancel INPUT button to skip the team serving prompt, and make the check a non-team serving check. To use this option, activate terminal option 53.

  • Terminal Option 53 Enable team serving: Check this option to allow team serving at this terminal (in this terminal option group). Team serving is a system which allows multiple servers to work together-on a team-to share sales, gratuities, and tips evenly among all members of the team. Related terminal options: 50, 52, 54

  • Terminal Option 54 (Manager starts team checks)- Check this option to start a team serving check without being on a team. When an employee with a security level of at least five, starts a team serving check, the terminal does not verify the employee is on the team. To use this option, activate terminal option 53.

  • Terminal Option 58 (Save no item check, without requiring item void)- Check this option to allow a cashier or server to create a zero-balance (itemless) check. Activate to save steps: there is no need to add an item and void an item (as in terminal option 57, above). If no check number has been assigned to the check, one is assigned automatically when the check is saved.

  • Terminal Option 60 (Set price levels based on tender type)- Check this option to set price levels based on price level overrides configured in tenders. The price level for all items is altered at the time of tender, overriding any price levels set in the Terminal Groups: Check Types window. Related terminal option: 81

  • Terminal Option 64 (Require confirmation before voiding a payment from a check)- Enable this option to display a Yes/No confirmation dialog before voiding a payment from the check (other than cash). This is used to prevent accidental removal of payment information from the check; once voided, the payment information cannot be recovered.

  • Terminal Option 65 (Include current pass check cancel/void data in void reports)- When this option is checked, the terminal prompts for a void reason when canceling or voiding a single pass check (i.e. a new check that was never saved.) The canceled/voided new check, and all items on the check, are recorded in the database and included in the void reports. The canceled/voided check can also be accessed using the back-office Recreate Check function. Enabling both terminal option 65 and 69 is best practice recommendation for customers that want to maximize theft detection and prevention.

  • Terminal Option 66 (Enable bar code scanner for SKU order): Check this option to read the SKU number from a bar code label. When both terminal options 65 and 66 are active, the terminal program uses terminal option 66. The terminal can read only a PLU or only an SKU, not both.

  • Terminal Option 67 (Combine check, prompts for table number)- Check this option to prompt for table number when using the Combine Check by Number function or when selecting the PROMPT button when using the Combine Check function. The table number can be entered manually or through an MSR. Table information is ordinarily read from MSR Track 2. However, by setting Terminal Option number 1128 (Read Table Data from MSR Track 1), table information is read from MSR Track 1.

  • Terminal Option 68 (End typed special instruction with Cancel button)- Check this option to require the Cancel button to complete a typed special instruction entry. Activate to allow the entry of multiple lines of typed special instructions (using Enter key) instead of having to reopen the Typed Special Instructions window again for each line.

  • Terminal Option 69 (Require void reason for current pass)- Check this option to require a void reason when an item is voided during the current pass (usually no reason is needed to void a current pass item-except with bar gun items). When this option is active, a Void Reasons window appears, requiring that a void reason be selected.

  • Terminal Option 70 (All prices are non-tax inclusive)- Check this option to add tax to all items. When this option is active, even items set as tax-included add tax. For example, beverages can be taxed when ordered at a restaurant terminal (using this option), while being “tax inclusive” at a bar terminal (using item configuration). When active, this option overrides both item configuration (for tax-inclusive) and Terminal Group: Check Types (for tax). If this option is active, ensure Terminal Option 13 (All prices are tax-inclusive) is not active.

  • Terminal Option 71 (Allow multiple modifier selection)- Checking this option requires touching the DONE button to end a modifier selection. When this option is active, select multiple modifiers (e.g., pizza toppings) consecutively. For example, when ordering a pizza, the “Toppings?” prompt appears. Select one or more pizza toppings (i.e., cheese, olives, garlic), then touch the DONE button. This terminal option overrides the minimum and maximum values for Choices from Group in the Choice Group window.

  • Terminal Option 72 (Modifier selection for each item of a quantity)- Check this option to display a modifier selection for each item when ordering in quantities. For example, when ordering more than one of the same item, the terminal displays a modifier window for each item-up to nine (9 items. When a quantity of 10 or more is ordered, the terminal displays only one modifier selection). When this option is inactive, the terminal prompts only once for a modifier selection, regardless of the quantity entered.

  • Terminal Option 73 (Allow tender of empty check after all items voided)- Check this option to tender an “itemless” check. This option is designed for tendering a check with only a tip but is also used to add funds to Campus Cards. Before a check can be tendered, save it as an itemless check. The check can then be recalled and tendered without items. To be able to add funds to a Campus Card account (job code function 334), activate this terminal option. Related terminal option: 57, 58.

  • Terminal Option 74 (Display interactive response)- Check this option to display an interactive account name, and confirmation prompt. Use this option with interactive account tenders to display the account name before the transaction is accepted when tendering to an interactive account (i.e., City Ledger, comp). Related terminal options: 75, 76.

Turn this option off when using host capture property management systems, such as Fidelio and NCR. When this option is not active, the terminal immediately tenders a check when account information is entered.

  • Terminal Option 75 (Display folio response)- Check this option to display a folio account name and confirmation prompt. Use this option with folio tenders to display the account name before the transaction is accepted when tendering to a folio account (i.e., guest folio). When active, the system always confirms the folio request. When not active, verification codes 6 and 7 do not confirm a response; verification code 8 confirms guest name. When not active, the terminal immediately tenders a check when account information is entered. Related terminal options- 74, 76.

  • Terminal Option 76 (Display generic authorization response)- Check this option to display generic authorization account name and confirmation prompt. Use this option with generic authorization tenders to display the account name before the transaction is accepted when tendering to an generic authorization account (i.e., Jones, Thomas). When this option is not active, the terminal immediately tenders a check when account information is entered. Related terminal options- 74, 75.

  • Terminal Option 78 (Allow Voice Auth Override, on declined credit cards)- Check this option to override a declined credit card and enter a voice authorization code. When this option is not active, the terminal does not allow a check to be closed to a declined credit card. For declined debit cards, no voice authorization override is permitted, and the setting of this terminal option is ignored. Related terminal option: 25, 79

  • Terminal Option 79 (Manager override required for declined cards)- Check this option to require manager override to accept-or authorize-a declined credit card. Related terminal option: 78

  • Terminal Option 80 (Prompt for coupon quantity)- Check this option to display a Quantity? prompt for multiple coupons of the same type when tendering to a coupon tender.

  • Terminal Option 81 (Set check type based on tender type)-  Check this option to change a check type to the override check type. When a check type is changed using this option, the service charge and item prices remain unaffected, while the gratuity and taxes change as configured for the check type. This option is not supported when using the multi-tender feature, or tender type 1, cash. Related terminal option: 60

  • Terminal Option 82 (Prompt for Tip Based on Tender Configuration)- Check this option to display the Tip Amount window when a cashier selects a tender type which is configured to "overtender" to tip. We recommend using this option in environments where customers regularly leave tips (e.g., credit card, room charge). Activate this option to reduce mistakes made by cashiers who forget to enter the tip when tendering charges. When Terminal Option 82 is disabled, ensure Terminal Option 522 (Enable Tip Prompting on the External Payment Device) is also disabled.

  • Terminal Option 83 (Track tender data by server)- Check this option to track tender data (i.e., cash, check, visa, and so on.) by server, not by cashier. Used in server banking environments, where all tender totals are credited to the server, regardless of who (e.g., a manager) settles the check.

  • Terminal Option 84 (Disable Close Cash Drawer, prompt)- Check this option to start a new transaction before the cash drawer is closed. When this option is not active, the terminal displays a message requesting the cash drawer be closed before starting a new transaction.

  • Terminal Option 85 (Do not allow tips to be added to the check)- Check this option to prevent tips from being added to the check. This option overrides terminal option 82 (prompt for tip based on tender configuration).

  • Terminal Option 87 (Skip confirmation for overriding tender preauthorization)- Check this option to skip the Override Preauth? message when a cashier overrides a preauthorized tender (such as a check preauthorized for Visa, but the cashier wants to override and settle to cash). Preauthorization tenders include credit cards, room charges, folios, and generic authorizations. It is not recommended to use if partial authorizations are used to tender amounts less than the balance due on the check.

  • Terminal Option 89 (Print receipt when checks are combined)- Check this option to print a receipt when two or more checks are combined. The newly combined check, which prints when touching the Save COMBINE button, assumes the check number and check type of the first check selected during the combine procedure.

  • Terminal Option 90 (Allow combining of different check types)- Check this option to allow a cashier or server to combine different check types into one check. For example, combining a room service check and a bar check-both different check types-into one check. The new check uses the check type of the first check selected. In the above example, the new check is a room service check. The gratuity and tax are calculated based on the new check type. Item prices and service charges are not affected.

  • Terminal Option 92 (Prompt for cover count when performing splits)- Check this option to display a cover count prompt for each new check prior to saving a split check. The covers inputted for the split check(s) are deducted from the base check (whose cover count defaults to one if all covers are distributed to other checks). If the cover count prompt is bypassed by touching Enter, the default cover count for each new check is zero. When splitting a check with this option turned off, the terminal assumes a cover count of one as the basis for each split check, then evenly divides any additional cover counts from the original check if there are more. For example, if a check with four covers is split into two checks, the terminal initially assigns one cover for each check (total of two), then takes the remainder (two) and divides them evenly between the checks for a total of two covers per check. If the cover counts cannot be evenly divided, the system prompts for covers upon splitting the check. Terminal option 340 overrides this option.

  • Terminal Option 98 (Prohibit void of bar gun items)- Check this option to prevent the ability to void current and previous pass items ordered from a bar gun. A manager cannot override this option.

  • Terminal Option 105 (Require cash drawer log on for single cash drawer)- Check this option to enable cash drawer log on at terminals with only one cash drawer. Activate to require an employee be logged onto the drawer before it opens. When this option is not active, the terminal assumes the signed-on employee is the logged-on employee.

  • Terminal Option 106 (Tender check not allowed unless logged on)- Check this option to not allow check tendering unless a cashier is logged onto the cash drawer.

  • Terminal Option 111 (Enable the loan, withdrawal, and cash transfer functions in offline mode)- Check this option to enable the loan, withdrawal, and cash transfer functions when the terminal is in offline mode. When in offline mode, loan, withdrawal, and cash transfer functions are allowed, but not recorded to the system file server. Even when offline, only the Terminal X and Z reports include all loan, withdrawal, and cash transfer information.

  • Terminal Option 113 (Replace table # with room # on check)- Check this option to replace a table number with a room number. When active, the system places the room number in the Table Number field and lets the server recall checks by room number. The room number must be less than 65,000. The room number displays as the table number on open check buttons. For example, room #105 appears as-

    • T: 105

    • 123456

  • Terminal Option 114 (Enable Stadium Seating Mode)- Check this option to have the terminal prompt for the section, row, and seat when starting a check. This value is stored as the table number for the check. Setting this option overrides terminal options: 113, 116, 117, 118, 270, 271, and 281.

  • Terminal Option 115 (Allow room pre-tender to Cash Only rooms)- Check this option to allow pre-tendering of a check to a “cash only” room. Activate to allow pre-tender to a room even when a guest does not have charging privileges. At the bottom of the check prints the guest’s name, room number and the word *CASH*, which signifies the guest is unable to charge to the room and must settle the check with another window of tender. Since the terminal revalidates the guest before settlement, it is not possible to accidentally settle a *CASH* only room.

Terminal Option 115 Does Not Work for XML-PMS. The POS Terminal Application does not honor the setting of Terminal Option 115 - Allow pre-tenders to cash only rooms when an XML PMS interactive room tender is configured for vintage mode.

  • Terminal Option 116 (Prompt for data entry instead of room)- Check this option to display a data input prompt at the start of a transaction. To activate the prompt, check the Prompt for Room box in the Terminal Group: Check Types window. Terminals accept any alphanumeric entry up to 30 characters. The system does not verify the typed entry; it records it for reporting purposes. Use only one of terminal options 116, 117, or 118.

  • Terminal Option 117 (Prompt for GA Account, Type 1, instead of room)-  Check this option to display the GA Account prompt at the beginning of transaction, and to verify the typed number using generic authorization verify codes 21-29 (types 1-9). Only use one of the following terminal options 116, 117 and 118. To activate the prompt, check the Prompt for Room box in the Terminal Group- Check Types window. At a POS Terminal, the generic authorization account (if configured to do so) may apply a discount and set the price level for the check. If the POS Terminal Application is offline, the GA Account prompt will continue to display.

  • Terminal Option 118 (Prompt for folio or account number, instead of room)- Check this option to display the Folio Number or Account ID/Account Name prompt at the start of a check. Verification codes 6, 7, and 8 prompt for Folio Number and verification codes 187, 188, 189 prompt for Account ID/Account Name. To activate the prompt, enable the Room checkbox in the Terminal Group: Check Types window. If the terminal is offline, the Folio Number/Account Number prompt continues to display. Activating this terminal option also enables the Room Inquiry button to prompt for Folio when selected. This terminal option overrides terminal options 119 and 120. Use only one of terminal options 116, 117, or 118.

  • Terminal Option 119 (Interactive room inquiry/preauthorization uses non-host capture)- Check this option to send interactive room inquiries and preauthorization to the PMS Host using the InfoGenesis Interactive Room formats. The format is determined by the Vendor Interface type selected in the POS2PMI.INI file. If host capture is used, select terminal option 120.

  • Terminal Option 120 (Interactive room inquiry/preauthorization uses host capture)- Check this option to send interactive room inquiries and preauthorization to the PMS Host using Host Capture (e.g., Fidelio, NCR) interface formats. The format is determined by the Vendor Interface type selected in the POS2PMI.INI file. When checked, the TPG first sends an authorization to the PMS interface before the charge is posted to the guest account. If not using host capture, use terminal option 119. Checking terminal option 425 overrides this option.

  • Terminal Option 121 (Attempt to process room charges online when terminal is in yellow or red state)- Check this option to make the terminal application attempt to process room charges online even when it’s in a yellow or red state. When the terminal is in a yellow or red state and terminal option #121 is set, and terminal option #255 (Room inquiries via UDP connection) is also set, the terminal attempts to process the room charges via the PMS Interface service. If the service is running and accounts exist for the entered room number, the account is added to the check and allowed to be tendered. If the PMS interface service is not running, an error message is displayed indicating that the service is not running. This feature is only supported by the Vintage PMS Service when using tender verify codes 81-89 Interactive Room, and 101-109 Interactive Room (2nd PMS System).

  • Terminal Option 122 (Allow Negative Cash Drops)- Check this option to allow employees to declare negative cash drop amounts. If this option is not checked, the cash drop amounts are always positive.

  • Terminal Option 124 (Do not prompt for cash drop amount)- Check this option to skip the Cash drop amount? prompt when a shift reset is done at this terminal.

  • Terminal Option 130 (Transfer check: choose server from a list)- Select this option to allow transferring a check to another server by choosing the server from a list of clocked-in employees.

  • Terminal Option 131 (Tip transfer: choose server from a list)- Select this option to allow transferring tips to another server by choosing the server from a list of employees.

  • Terminal Option 135 (Require employee password after MSR swipe): Check this option to require an employee to type their Password after the employee swipes their card during sign-on. When this option is not active, the password prompt displays only if the employee number is typed using the keypad. If an employee does not have a password, the terminal does not display the password prompt.

  • Terminal Option 138 (Allow alphanumeric room - Don’t strip leading zeros)- Check this option to display the alphanumeric keypad for interactive room input. For local room input, the alphanumeric keypad always displays regardless of how this option is set. If this option is active, the leading zeros are not stripped when using a swipe card. If this option is not active, the leading zeros are stripped when using a swipe card. Since this screen has an extended redraw period, activate this option only if alpha input is required.

  • Terminal Option 139 (Don’t strip leading zeros from Folio Account)- If this option is active, the leading zeros are not stripped when using a swipe card. If this option is not active, the leading zeros are stripped when using a swipe card.

  • Terminal Option 140 (Allow entry of alphanumeric interactive account numbers)- Check this option to display the alphanumeric keypad for interactive account input. If option 282 or 283 is active, the alphanumeric keypad always displays regardless of how this option is set.

  • Terminal Option 141 (Don’t strip leading zeros from GA Account)- If this option is active, the leading zeros are not stripped when using a swipe card. If this option is not active, the leading zeros are stripped when using a swipe card.

  • Terminal Option 145 (Prohibit canceling an order (Security level 3 or lower)- Check this option to not cancel a transaction once it has been started or recalled (e.g., at least one item ordered, or assigned a check number) by an employee with a security of three or less. Checks must be either tendered or saved once started or recalled. Where a bar gun (liquor dispensing interface) is used, this option is usually activated to prevent dispensing liquor then canceling an order. An employee with a security level of four or higher can override this option. This terminal option is ignored when a check is opened in view-only mode.

  • Terminal Option 146 (Allow only one duplicate receipt)- Check this option to allow an employee to print only one duplicate of each check by touching the PRINT LAST RECEIPT button. A manager cannot override this option.

  • Terminal Option 147 (Use enhanced kitchen video)- Check this option when the kitchen video interface service used by the terminal is Revelation Enhanced Kitchen Video.

  • Terminal Option 148 (Send data via TCP to the kitchen printer service)- Check this option to have terminal send data to the kitchen printer service using TCP instead of UDP. Using TCP greatly reduces the chance of missing data on kitchen printer chits.

  • Terminal Option 149 (Print the weight of an item on kitchen printer chits)- Check this option to print a line on the kitchen printer chits that shows the weight of items that are sold by weight.

  • Terminal Option 150 (Print an offline kitchen receipt when an order fails KP process)- Check this option to print an offline kitchen printer receipt when an order is “not acknowledged” by the Kitchen Printer Process (e.g., the process was stopped, or the server is unavailable). The receipt prints at the POS terminal where the order was started when the server or cashier touches the PRINT LOCALLY button in the Kitchen Printer Error dialog box. When this option is active, it overrides Terminal Option 151 - Ignore Kitchen Printer error messages at the terminal.

  • Terminal Option 151 (Ignore kitchen printer error messages at the terminal)- Check this option to ignore kitchen printer error messages (KPACK) at the terminal. The messages may display because the process has stopped, or the server is unavailable. Related Option: 150

  • Terminal Option 152 (Send orders to kitchen printers)- Check this option to send orders to the kitchen printers: that is, to have the terminal send a request to the kitchen printer service which then sends orders to the appropriate devices. If you use kitchen printers, this option is required.

  • Terminal Option 153 (Print the check label on kitchen printer chits)- Check this option to print the check label on kitchen printer chits. When the check label is set, it will be printed using the table number formatting specified in the kitchen printer option group.

The check label and table number share the same field and data that is input last will appear on the chit

  • Terminal Option 154 (Sequential order numbers generated at system level)- Check this option to generate sequential order numbers on a system level, instead of a profit center level. To use this option, activate terminal option 155.

  • Terminal Option 155 (Use sequential order numbers)- Check this option to use sequential order numbers for kitchen printers, kitchen video displays, and guest checks. The order number is generated sequentially by profit center. The order number is intended for temporary use and is not used on reports. Related terminal option: 154

  • Terminal Option 156 (Use real-time kitchen video interface)- Select this option when the kitchen video interface service used by the terminal is sending check level transactions in real-time to the Kitchen Display Service (KDS). This is designed for the quick service environment to facilitate real-time update to the KDS for check create, add item, void item, and check tender transactions.

  • Terminal Option 160 (Print the name of the server that fired the items on the kitchen chit)- Check this option to have the server name who has fired the items to get printed on the kitchen chit.

  • Terminal Option 183 (Credit Card transactions set Auth Code field to No Auth)- Check this option to display No Auth in place of the authorization code in the PMS Posting field. Activate this field when using credit card verification codes 30 or 61-69 to display No Auth in the field.

  • Terminal Option 185 (Calculate tax on gross subtotal)- Check this option to calculate a check’s tax on the gross subtotal (before discounts) rather than the net subtotal (after discounts).

  • Terminal Option 186 (Calculate gratuity on gross subtotal)- Check this option to calculate a check’s gratuity on the gross subtotal (before discounts) rather than on the net subtotal (after discounts). When using tax-included pricing, the gratuity is calculated on the check net subtotal.

  • Terminal Option 187 (Calculate percent tip on gross subtotal)- Check this option to calculate a check’s percent tip on the gross subtotal (before discounts) rather than on the net subtotal (after discounts). This option is not supported when using the multi-tender function. As a result, the percent tip function performed using multi-tender is calculated based on the net subtotal.

    • For Agilysys Platform Pay interfaces, only supported with Sale requests and not auth/capture workflows.

  • Terminal Option 188 (Calculate percent service charge on gross subtotal)- Check this option to calculate a check’s service charge on the gross subtotal (before discounts) rather than on the net subtotal (after discounts).

  • Terminal Option 189 (Calculate percent coupon on net subtotal)- Select this option to have percent coupons be calculated on the check’s net subtotal (after discount). The calculation does not include amounts for gratuities, service charges, or taxes. When this option is not set, percent coupons are calculated on the entire check total, including gratuities, service charges, and taxes.

  • Terminal Option 191 (Apply tax on gratuity)- Check this option to calculate tax on a check gratuity. The tax is calculated on the subtotal plus gratuity. The tax to be applied is configured in the Check Types- Gratuities window via the TAXES button.

  • Terminal Option 194 (Allow offline folio charge (prompts for guest charge)- Check this option to allow room charges when the terminal is offline and guest data cannot be found. When a terminal is offline and a check is tendered to a room charge, a prompt requests the guest’s room number and name. If the guest is not found in the offline file or the file itself cannot be found, this option allows the cashier to perform a manual override by entering the guest’s name and room number.

More about offline room charges:

  • A tender type can always be created to perform offline room charging - it does not matter if the terminal is online or offline. Use Tender verify code 10: room offline to create this tender type.

  • The guest information prints on the check, and posts to the hotel PMS with the folio number as OFFLINE.

  • Not all property management systems accept offline room charges as legitimate room postings.

  • Terminal Option 196 (Allow offline generic authorization charge)- Check this option to allow generic authorization charges when the terminal is offline. When a check is tendered to a GA account at an offline terminal (using verify codes 21-29), a prompt requests the account number, but does not verify the account number unless the Download offline generic auth data checkbox on the Terminal Basic Details form is also enabled. If the Download offline generic auth data checkbox is not enabled, when the terminal returns online, the charge posts to the Generic Authorization Log with the account name: OFFLINE.

Terminal options 210, 211, and 212 are processed when the reset is being performed for any employee, whether signed-on or not. However, Terminal Option 210, Shift Reset, Automatically prompt for tip payout, displays its second prompt (for a tip transfer) only if the shift reset is being performed for the signed-on employee. To automate end-of-shift procedures, combine terminal options 209, 210, 211, 215, and 216.

  • Terminal Option 210 Shift Reset (Automatically prompt for tip transfer and tip payout)- Check this option to display a Tip Transfer? and a Tip Payout? prompt when a Shift Reset is performed. Activate this option only when the employee who pays the tips to the server performs the shift reset (e.g., a cashier or an employee in server banking environments). • Terminal Option 246 (Print SKU number on customer receipt)- Check this option to print SKU numbers on a customer receipt. Terminals print SKU numbers for all items regardless of the way the item is entered. When there is more than one SKU for an item, the terminal uses the first SKU it finds in the cooked file, where SKUs are listed in alphanumeric order.

  • Terminal Option 247 (Print SKU number for discounts and coupons on a customer receipt)- Check this option to print SKU numbers for discounts and coupons on a customer receipt.

When a discount or coupon added to a check has a SKU configured, the terminal will always write the SKU boxcar for the discount or coupon. However, printing the SKU on the receipt is determined by terminal option 247. When the option is not set, the SKU is not printed. When the option is set, the SKU is printed. Note that when the option is on, the SKU is shown in the order display as well as being printed.

For discounts, the SKU line is right after the discount line, before any discount extra text. For coupons, the SKU line is after the line with the coupon quantity and name.

  • Terminal Option 248 (Support alphanumeric entries of SKUs)- Check this option to use alphanumeric entries for SKU numbers. Since this screen has an extended redraw period, activate this option only if alpha input is required.

  • Terminal Option 277 (TPG connects directly to the LSR Provider (no LTS or LSS))- Check this option to have the TPG connect directly to the LSR Provider for check and shift processing. This terminal option, when active, overrides the TPG default behavior of using LTS when neither terminal option 279 nor 280 is active. This terminal option only affects TPG terminals. For TPG, this terminal option overrides 279: Use Local Shift Services (LSS) and 280: Use Local Transaction Services (LTS). Related terminal options: 279, 280.

  • Terminal Option 279 (Use Local Shift Services (LSS)) - Use Local Shift Services (LSS)) for processing check data and employee shift data at the terminal. This terminal option, when active, looks to the information in the Profiler’s LSS Server IP Address field.

If the property has both TPG terminal and regular POS terminals, the status (enabled or disabled) of Terminal Option 279 (Use Local Shift Services (LSS)) must be the same for both types of terminals.

  • Terminal Option 284 (Store posting account number after account inquiry)- Keep this option unchecked for operations where the authorization account number returned by the host system after an account inquiry is the same number that the system posts the charge to during tendering. The authorization account number that is set at input time is stored for later use during tendering, and an input prompt does not appear to perform a new account lookup during the tendering process. Activate this option for operations where the authorization account number returned by the host system after an account inquiry is not the number used by the system during tendering. When this option is checked, the posting account number returned by the host system is stored. If the posting account number is 0 (zero), then a prompt appears to perform a new inquiry during the tendering process.

The dialog box allows for retrying or canceling a failed settlement. If RETRY is touched, the PTA attempts the failed settlements again. If Cancel is touched or a timeout occurs, the check is canceled. When the check is canceled after a failed settlement, all successfully settled EPI tenders and any other host-capture tenders are reversed. When this option is not checked, any failed settlements that occur after a successful settlement are logged to the Electronic Journal and the check is closed. Do not activate this option if terminal option 286 is checked.

  • Terminal Option 288 (Use card parsing table when reading cards for EPI Processing)- Check this option to force the terminal to use a locally-installed Card Parsing Table when a credit or debit card is swiped at the terminal. This terminal option should only be turned on at customer sites outside the U.S. that accept card types with special requirements for start dates or issue numbers.

  • Terminal Option 290 (Enable item countdown)- Use the item countdown (ICD) service for tracking items at the terminal. • Terminal Option 302 (Tax Thresholds, Region 1)- This option enables tax threshold calculations based on very specific regional rules. Do not activate this option unless absolutely sure how these rules affect food service operations. Activate to enable tax threshold calculations based upon the following: (1) threshold is determined by summing the items on the check to which threshold tax applies; (2) tax is calculated based on all taxable items and is applied after the threshold has been crossed; (3) only a single threshold is supported; and (4) tax-included items are always charged the threshold tax even when the items are priced less than the threshold amount.

  • Terminal Option 303 (Print tax categories on receipt)- Check this option to print tax categories on the receipt only when they have a nonzero value. The tax description on the receipt is the description of the first tax ID that the terminal finds in the tax category. This option is not supported when using tax-included items.

  • Terminal Option 304 (Use modified VAT calculation method)- With this option checked, the Terminal Application and TPG calculate the net revenue, the net gratuity/service charge and Value Added Tax so that the calculated values are rounded at the check total level.

Limitations:

  • All discounts must be configured with the exclusive flag set.

  • Check level discounts must be applied at the end of the ordering process. If item changes are needed (after discount is applied), void the discount and then re-apply after the item changes are completed.

  • Only one discount can be applied to an item. This can either be an item level or check level discount, but only one or the other (not both) can be applied to the item.

  • Only one discount can be applied per check.

  • All discounts must be configured as exclusive.

  • Item changes on the check cannot be performed after a check level discount is applied. Operationally, the check discount must be applied last.

  • All items, gratuities, and service charges are tax-included. All tax-included configuration settings are ignored.

  • Tax ID #1 is applied to all items, gratuities, and service charges on the check.

  • Tax ID #1 is the only supported tax. All other tax configuration (including tax groups) are ignored.

  • Tax threshold configuration is not supported.

  • Remove proportional tax by tender type is not supported.

  • Discounts must be applied at the end of the ordering process.

  • The TPG supports Terminal Option 304.

  • In inclusive gratuity mode, Terminal Option 304 is ignored.

  • Terminal Option 305 (Remove non-critical confirmation prompts)- Check this option to remove low risk confirmation prompts. These prompts provide non-critical information about what happens when a user proceeds with the selected function. Removal of these non-critical confirmation prompts may increase operator speed, but possibly result in operator errors. The steps in tendering a check that has been pre-authorized are also minimized when using this option. The server can present the check to a customer with pre-authorization data printed.

  • Terminal Option 310 (Enable dual coin changer prompt)- Check this option to prompt for left or right coin changer when completing a tender and change is due. The selection made during this prompt determines where change is disbursed in a dual coin changer environment. Dual coin changers must be configured in Profiler.

  • Terminal Option 340 (Do not prompt for covers)- This option overrides options 92 and 315. Activate to prevent prompting for covers except when using the GUEST COUNT button. Enable this option to get accurate cover count information when tracking cover counts by item. When splitting a check and this option is active, the terminal assumes a cover count of zero as the basis for each split check, and then adds any “per item” cover counts.

When splitting a check with both this option and terminal option 92 turned off, the terminal assumes a cover count of one as the basis for each split check, then evenly divides any additional cover counts from the original check if there are more. For example, if a check with four covers is split into two checks, the terminal initially assigns one cover for each check (total of two), then takes the remainder (two) and divides them evenly between the checks for a total of two covers per check. If the cover counts cannot be evenly divided, a prompt appears for covers upon splitting the check. Related terminal option: 92, 315

  • Terminal Option 345 (Activate advanced check-level discount rules)- Check this option to install advanced check-level discounting rules that include the following:

    • A check-level discount can be applied at any time on the check and is calculated based upon all discountable items.

    • A check-level discount can exist on a check without the existence of any discountable items.

    • A check-level discount that is automatically applied because of a specific tender being applied, is automatically removed if the tender is removed.

    • Only a single check-level discount for each revenue group can exist on the check. Unchecking this option implements the basic check-level discounting rules that include the following:

    • A check-level discount applies to previously entered items only.

    • A check-level discount cannot exist on a check if no discountable items exist.

  • Terminal Option 346 (Apply multiple discounts to the gross item price)- Check this option when both item-level and check-level discounts apply to an item to base the check-level discount on the gross item price. When the option is not set, the check-level discount applies to the net item price, which is the gross item price minus the item discount amount. Related terminal options: 345

  • Terminal Option 347 (Allow items and checks to be discounted multiple times)- Enable this option to allow checks to have up to 8 item level discounts on each item plus up to 8 check level discounts. Any discount’s Exclusive property may limit an item or check to fewer discounts. When this option is enabled, more than one check level discount can apply to the same revenue group, multiple discounts are always applied to the gross item price, and the settings of terminal options 11, 345, and 346 are ignored.

  • Terminal Option 348 (Apply multiple discounts to the net item price) - Enable this option to apply check-level discount on the net item price when both item-level and check-level discounts are applied to an item. When the option is disabled, the check-level discount applies to the gross item price. Related terminal options: 347. By default, the terminal option will be disabled.

  • Terminal Option 525 (Enable External Payment Device- Select this option to enable a guest-facing payment card reader. Supported devices include a certified Verifone model (Verifone MX 870). If the device supports signature capture and the tender is configured to use signature capture, the payment device prompts the cardholder for a signature when the tender is applied. This option is overridden by Terminal Option 524. When terminal option 524 or 525 is set to use an external payment device, and 527 is also set, the terminal requires that credit card data come from the external device; if that fails, entering the credit card data on the terminal is not allowed. Card data for other payment types is allowed at the terminal.

Terminal Option 525 is only supported with the Verifone MX 870 device.

  • Terminal Option 526 (Archive check data based on tender configuration- Check this option to archive check data when a tender is configured to Save to archive.

    • Enabling Terminal Option 527 and disabling Terminal Option 524 using the old Revelation P2PE Interface service (used with Service Manager Shift4 and ID Tech SRed payment devices). This service is no longer recommended.

  • Terminal Option 528 (Enable signature capture application on the terminal)- Check this option to enable getting signatures directly on the terminal touch screen. This is different from terminal option 525, where the signature is provided on an external device. When this option is enabled and the tender configuration is set to require signature capture, the terminal prompts for a signature when the tender is applied. When this option is set, prompt for tip and signature capture is always on the terminal, regardless of the setting of terminal option 525 (Enable External Payment Device), terminal option 522 (Enable tip prompting on the external payment device) and terminal option 523 (Enable signature capture on the external payment device).

  • Terminal Option 529 (Agilysys Platform Pay EMV payment device is cashier-facing and will not prompt for PIN)- Check this option when the payment device used for Agilysys Platform Pay EMV operations is cashier-facing and the guest will not be present to provide the PIN for credit cards. When disabled, the pin prompt is displayed on the terminal while using an external payment device. By default, this terminal option is enabled. Related terminal options : 524, 470, 471 must be enabled to support this option.

  • Terminal Option 535 (Do not send check total to surveillance when adding items)- Check this option to enhance surveillance logging. When this terminal option is not set, surveillance logging remains the same. All other logging that is done for surveillance continues to be sent. The two exceptions are for adding and voiding menu items. When terminal option 535 is not set, the terminal logs the text shown on the customer display to surveillance. Every time a menu item is added to the check, two lines are sent to surveillance. The first line shows the quantity, name, and price of the menu item, and the second line shows the new check total. When terminal option 535 is set, the second line with the check total is no longer sent to surveillance.

When terminal option 535 is not set, a menu item is voided, and the terminal currently sends the customer display text to surveillance. The first line is a menu item line - not the item that was voided, but rather the item on which the order display highlight ends up. The second line is the check total. When terminal option 535 is set, since there is logging for voiding the menu item that shows the item that was voided, the two customer display lines are not logged.

Logged events include- start check, recall check, save check, apply tender, close check, print closed check, refund closed check, reopen closed check, adjust closed check, auto-create refund check, auto-create new check, void menu item, sign on, sign off, clock in, clock out, no sale, tip payout, logoff drawer, split check, new split checks, and items on new split checks. When terminal option 535 is set, each line is preceded with DIS, just as the lines are that come from the customer display.

  • Terminal Option 540 (Load configuration files in a background process when the application starts)- Check this option to have the terminal load configuration files in a background process when the application starts. This allows the terminal application to launch more quickly and is recommended for SaaS environments where terminals have a slow network connection.

  • Terminal Option 545 (Automatically reinitialize EMV after configuration load)- Check this option to automatically reinitialize the EMV device after every successful load of configuration files, including when the terminal application starts. Only supported for the EMV Interface with verify code 143.

  • Terminal Option 550 (Use the Packages GUI Application)- When this option is checked, packages on the check are updated using the Packages GUI application. This application handles packages ordered in quantity. Related terminal options: 551

  • Terminal Option 551 (Print Selection Groups on the Receipt)- When this option is checked, selection groups are printed on the receipt when ordering packages. This option is only applied when Terminal Option 550 is set. Related terminal options: 550

  • Terminal Option 560 (Prompt for postal code only when the card number is entered manually)- Select this option to have the prompt for postal code occur only when the credit card account number is keyed in manually. When this option is set, there will be no prompt for the postal code when the account number is provided by a swipe or tap (RFID). This option only applies to Tender Verification Code 146.

  • Terminal Option 561 (Discard credit card invoice ID when reopening a check)- Enable this option when interfacing with Elavon using Verification Code 146 (Credit Card via Service Manager). Elavon requires that a voided invoice ID be discarded, and a new invoice ID generated when processing a new payment.

  • Terminal Option 562 (Do not require invoice number for gift card sale and return)- Check this option when using a gift card vendor that does not require invoice numbers. When a gift card is sold, no invoice number is printed on the receipt, and when a gift card is returned, the terminal does not prompt for the invoice number.

  • Terminal Option 565 (Use the payment amount as the basis when selecting a tip percent)- Select this option so that when a tip percent is selected on an external payment device or on the terminal’s signature capture application, the tip amount will be calculated using the payment amount as the basis. When this option is not set, the check total is used as the basis for the calculation. This option should be disabled on terminals where non-guest tenders such as comp and coupon are commonly applied.

Supported with Agilysys Pay credit cards (verify code 144)

  • Terminal Option 1003 (Print open check only once)- Check this option to prevent an open check from being printed more than once by employees with a security level of 2 or less. Employees with a security level of 3 or higher can “override” this option. When active, this option does not affect tendering; however, it does affect Save/Print, Save Check, Split Check, Combine Check, and Transfer Check. When this option is active, employees with a security level of 2 or less need a manager override to print an open check more than once. (To use the manager override function, a manager with security level of three or higher swipes their employee card or types their ID number.)

  • Terminal Option 1016 (No decimal point in currency format)- Check this option to not include a decimal point in the currency format on the Order Display, customer display, message boxes, input prompts, and printed receipts. For example, 129.00 is printed as 12900 on the receipt. Activating this terminal option sets the operating system’s locale setting for currency digits.

  • Terminal Option 1017 (Display thousands separator in currency formatting).- Select this option to include the thousands separator in the currency format of amounts on the order display, customer display, message boxes and printed receipts. For example, 24502.77 is printed as 24,502.77 on the receipt. In some countries, such as Vietnam, it is common to have amounts in the millions. When terminal option 1017 is set, the terminal reads the locale settings to get the thousands separator character to use for currency formatting. The thousands separator is a comma if the Culture setting of the InfoGenesis POS Server is set to US English but is a decimal point in other regional settings. It formats currency values using the thousands separator for the order display, receipts, message boxes, and the customer display. Input prompts do not show the thousands separator as input digits are keyed in. If this Terminal Option is set, entering the value $1234567.89 shows as $1,234,567.89 on the POS terminal. The value $456123 shows as $456,123 on the POS terminal. The display of the decimal point is determined by the setting of Terminal Option 1016: No Decimal Point in Currency Format, which is independent of the setting of terminal option 1017. If using Terminal Option 1017, ensure that CPFs are configured to account for the thousands separator. Not supported in the TPG.

  • Terminal Option 1022 (Consolidate like items and packages on receipt)- Check this option to print “like” items and packages together as one item and one package respectively with a quantity indicator on the guest receipt. For example, if a server orders one beer, then orders a second beer, the drinks print on the receipt as “2 beer.” If the server orders one package with the items Burger and Coke and adds the same package once again with Mozarella selected as the modifier for Burger while adding both packages, the packages are printed as one line item with the quantity as “2” on the customer receipt.

The items in both the instances of the package must have the same modifiers and same selection groups for them to be printed together on the guest receipt. The quantity of the modifier and selection groups selected must also be the same for the packages to be consolidated. If the modifiers or selection groups selected differ or if the quantity of the modifiers and selection groups differ, the packages are treated as two different packages and are printed as two separate line items.

If the server selects the quantity while ordering the package for the first time itself, it is printed as a single line item with quantity on the guest receipt even if the terminal option 1022. Consolidate like items and packages on guest receipts is disabled.

When this option is active, special instructions are not printed on consolidated receipts, regardless of the setting of Terminal Option 23 - Print priced modifiers only.

  • Terminal Option 1023 (Consolidate like items and packages by check type on guest receipt)- Check this option to print “like” items and “like” packages, grouped by check type, together as one item and package respectively, with a quantity indicator on the guest receipt. Items are grouped by the check type that was set when they were ordered, and the check type name is printed as a header over each group of items. The “like” packages with the same modifiers and selection groups under the same check type are consolidated when this terminal option is enabled. The like packages are not consolidated if they belong to different check types. The quantity of the modifiers and selection groups must also be the same. This terminal option overrides terminal option 1022. Related terminal options: 1022

The following parsing rules apply when using this Terminal Option:

  • When there is a ‘B’ as the first character on track 1, the terminal uses the next character in the track data as the start of the card number.

  • When there is not a ‘B’ as the first character on track 1, the terminal uses the first character in the track data as the start of the card number.

  • When there is a ‘^’ on track 1, the terminal uses the character right before it as the end of the card number.

  • When there is not a ‘^’ on track 1, the terminal uses the end of the track 1 data as the end of the card number.

  • The terminal parses out the card number from the starting position to the ending position, as described in the above rules.

More information about offline room charges:

    • The guest information prints on the check, and posts to the hotel PMS with the folio number as OFFLINE.

    • A tender type can always be created to perform offline room charging- it does not matter if the terminal is online or offline. Use Tender Verification Code 10 – Room Offline to create this tender type.

When the terminal uploads the check, the charge posts to the PMS with the account name: OFFLINE and to the account number as input by the cashier.
