Printer Types

The following printer types are used in InfoGenesis POS sites. Any of the following printers are configurable as a kitchen printer:

• Serial Printers - A serial printer is a printer that attaches to a computer through a serial interface. These printers contain a serial module.

• IP Printers - An IP printer is a printer that uses an IP Connect-it module. This means that the printer is assigned an IP address and communicates directly to the host server on the network.
